Re: Can someone ID please?
I thought maybe they had just mis-labeled (White instead of Red) but the pics I've seen of the Red's don't look much like mine. But maybe when it gets larger it will? I just can't believe all of the pups! I need to thin them out but they are so close together, I can't figure out how to get in-between the plants to separate them.

Re: Can someone ID please?
Now I'm really anxious to know what this. I was working outside today and noticed there is a bloom! Strange thing is the change in the colors on these plants. After they came back from the freeze, they started showing the bright red colors. They also have some varigation on the back of the leaves now that wasn't there before the freeze.
Anyway, here is the "now" picture... |

Re: Can someone ID please?
Mine also flower at three feet tall. Looking again, however, the petioles on your plants are much more yellow than my 'African Reds'. Mine were shade-grown in that pic though, so that may make a difference. Hmmm...not M. mannii, M. ornata...
Make sure to get some fruit pics. Last edited by bigdog : 04-25-2007 at 03:38 PM. Reason: misspelling |
