Default bought seeds, not sure they are bananas!

Hello,
New here.
I bought seeds from a merchant on eBay and planted them.
Now that one of them grew (now 6 months old including the planting!) I am totally unable to confirm that it is indeed a banana tree!
I could dig up the seed and check but as the plant is small i dont want to risk it!

can anyone help?

That's not a banana. Could be something that's was in your soil.

The plant is up is not a banana. I have a baby plant right now that is pushing up it's first leaf after the initial leaf. Took two years for the seed to sprout, they all don't take that long, but they generally take their time coming up.
