Banana's Magnolia, Texas

Hello, I just recently bought a new house in December and they had Banana trees around my pool in the back yard. The trees now have blooms coming out with Banana's on them. I have no idea if these are edable Banana's or not. Can someone please help me identify them?

This is a link to my Photos.

Is that a good thing or not when it comes to wanting to eat them? The plants them self are about 6 to 8 feet tall where the base of the upper leaves all branch off.

They are pretty so-so when it comes to eating them as fresh fruit. They are very tasty cooked.
