Default Banana with red streaks on the leaves

I accidentally posted this in the wrong place.

I bought a banana from a local greenhouse today that was not named. It is pretty healthy even though it was in a really small container. The problem is, is that no one at the greenhouse could tell me what kind of banana it is. The leaves have some "reddish" streaking, but other than that, I know nothing else about it. I'll post a pic tomorrow, but can anyone give me a guess as what it may be???

Thanks

There are only a few it could be, but to say which will have to wait until the photos are posted.

I will make sure that I get some pics on here tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the reply, though.

It was two, 3ft tall plants with two small pups at the base for $11.99. I planted all of that into a half barrel. Now, that I know the name of it, I believe I'll go get another this weekend for another barrel that I have.

Does Dwarf Cavendish have any special requirements? I'm hoping that I can overwinter it here in KY by digging it up and storing it in the cool part of the basement.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

I've see Brazilian and Dwarf Brazilian with those type of marks while young. They out grew them as they got some size on 'em.

So, is it safe to say that it's not a Basjoo? I was hoping for something that would overwinter, here, in Kentucky.

I have dwarf cavendish ( DC ) but I wouldn't try overwintering it outdoors. The only ones with success for me are basjoo (of course), Chinese yellow (moderate) and sikkim (lasted 2 years, then died).

Saltydad, thanks for the advice. I will definitely be keeping this one inside through the winter.
