Banana Plant ID

I dug this plant as a sucker from a much larger stand of bananas in South Louisiana. The stand I dug it off of get about 12-14 feet tall every year. I have no idea what variety they are.

Without seeing any photos and just using your description and location, it's most likely a non-dwarf Bluggoe.
