Question Banana Hexagona Diamante, Banana Canoa Gigante and Banana Espada Africana

Hi,

I ordered one Banana Hexagona Diamante, Banana Canoa Gigante and Banana Espada Africana at elo7 (one Brazilian online free market, I am also member of Mercado Livre and Shopee in Brazil, I am living in Brazil) yesterday.

These are Brazilian names for banana cultivars. I identificed Banana Espada Africana as African Rhinohorn! I am so happy to get African Rhinohorn in Brazil when also named as Banana Espada Africana in Brazil, it is one alias name!

But the other both Brazilian rare banana cultivars Banana Canoa Gigante and Banana Hexagona Diamante are unknown, I already have googled after these both, but without success. I need the descriptions of these. Which group are they, AA, AAA, AAB, ABB or another? And there are more infos about these both? Banana Canoa Gigante is forming only one single giant fruit in the bunch, never have seen such cultivar!

With the best.

Joachim

Wow that should be interesting. A plant that produces one giant fruit that you can make a canoe out of.

Here's an African Rhino Horn that had a single fruit in the distal hand.

Hi,

much thanks. Last Friday the three plants are arrived at my chácara, African Rhinohorn and Canoa Gigante have red pseudotrunks, they might be genuine. I will watch the plants and its fruits.

Good Luck, hopefully they're all correct

Linear pup formation is an interesting trait of the Rhino Horn.

You're going to get millions of pups.
