Cold You'd think it'd be easy in Hawaii

Aloha,
I'm in Kapoho, Puna District, Island of Hawaii. Formerly of San Diego, formerly of Opihikao (also Puna) formerly of OR, AZ, CT, FL, and NY.

I've got a few stands of NOID bananas.
One red supposedly dwarf, but now close to 20 feet tall.
One that has been full on the rack at least 7 months and is still green.
One that makes thumb sized fruit (apple?)

I'd once planted about a dozen and a half varieties, but had to leave town for a few years. The pig bomb went off in my absence (as well as the volcano) and by the time I got back ... well, now I have three

I'd love to start collecting again but with BBTV about everywhere now I'm a bit fearful of bringing material onto the property.

I did break the rule once. I saw one white stripe on one of the tissue cultured Dwf. Lady Fingers they sell at the local Home Despot. She's coming along nicely and still has her stripes.

Hi Miles-

Welcome aboard the Banana Express.

Looks like you were smart enough to get out of CT like I did, LOL!
