Welcome Rob. There's plenty of basjoo info here. Check out the cold hardy bananas thread and there's also the "wiki". Can't find anything just ask. Good luck with your new plant.

Robert,

Welcome to the group! I am also in a zone 6, you shouldn't have any problems with you Basjoo in this zone. Agri-Starts did suggest to protect them for the first winter, but I was way to busy with all of my other plants. It usually takes most of a day to move everything into the grow room. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, there are many well versed banana growers here.

:abajo:Welcome to the organization rcaddydeville!!

There are many people here that grow Basjoo in Zone 6. They are a cool musa, one of the most cool tolerant musas. Mine is a new one also, and has survived two freezes so far with little damage.

Best wishes and welcome aboard!!:2239:
