Mail A short introduction...

Hello! Iíve been looking around here on bananas.org for a while. I guess I just decided to go ahead and join this time! My name is Mary and Iím 35 years old. Iím located in Northeastern Ohio. Iíve been growing banana trees & other Tropicals since at least 2012 or so. I really love gardening now that Iíve a bit of a green thumb! My nickname is in honor of all my plants from over the years that have died. Itís like a moment of silence for them. Ha ha! Iím on a quest to be able to grow real bananas off my trees this time! Iíve never got one in all these years! Wish me luck! If you would like to know all the different kinds of varieties of banana trees Iím currently growing check out my profile! Too many to keep on typing them all out again! Genuinely, itís a big and long list! Thanks and have a great night/day!

OOOOHH! I'm jealous! I really want to grow Naval but Texas has extremely strict laws over importing Citrus trees so they can't be bought online.
It's the last tree I want to complete my citrus collection

Hail Mary-

Welcome aboard the Banana Express!

I really think you need to consider making raised beds in your garage and adding grow lights. Bringing that many plants in and out every season is going to get ever harder each time. If you have an open (two story) foyer, you might consider putting the palm in there, along with a few of the bigger banana varieties. You have a LOT of work ahead of you, LOL.

Sorry it took me so long to welcome you. I'm just now getting around to catching up on all the welcomes I missed while I was gone. BTW, I'm glad you decided to stick around.

Cute! I love it! Hail Mary! Wait a minute....I totally just got that! Thanks for the cute welcome message!

Yeah I know what you mean! Iím definitely going to have to use my garage for sure! I wish I had a green house as well! Iíve got a few options for this coming spring/summer! Plus who knows if all my plants will survive this winter! Yeah I am so not looking forward to the spring when I have to drag out all the plants again! However, the difference with doing all this work in the spring time would be easier because I get to watch the plants grow and look like a beautiful tropical paradise right here in Ohio! So at least thereís that!

You have a couple options: drive over to FL and buy one, or find someone who isn't a commercial grower to UPS you one. I'm fortunate; NC has no plant restrictions that I know of.
