Default Relatively experienced grower but new to bananas

Just signed up today. I’m an avid gardener but I’ve never had a banana plant. I primarily grow columnar cacti. I have about a 1000 growing. I signed up here to learn a little before getting my first banana plant. I’m hoping to get it here or to at least get pointed in the right direction. Scams and lies seem to run rampant in the gardening world so I’d rather avoid eBay as inexperienced as I am. Anywho, I’m hoping I can get up to speed and get my first banana into a pot in the next week or so. Zone 7b btw.

Welcome to bananas.org. Perhaps you could update your profile to indicate your location? That may spur some 'locals' to offer help...
