Joy Please help me to keep my banana alive!

Hi!

I am a complete plant novice and have inherited a gorgeous banana plant with my new rented home. I have no idea of the type of banana plant but have attached some pictures.

The plant was left for 2 weeks cold and unwatered (with the curtains drawn ) before we moved in. And now it looks quite sad with browning, yellowing leaves. I did water it but now am concerned whether I watered it too much or not enough.. Should I cut off the yellowing, brown, droopy parts?

It’s an indoor plant and we live in Holland so there is not much sun coming through the windows.

I really want to keep this little baby alive- please teach me banana gurus! 😆
Thanks so much!
Victoria
