Ditto, Plantains just like normal common edible bananas are seedless. What you're looking for are pups. Many nurseries offer them as well as even more people on the forum here. Any variety in particular you're looking for, or just a random standard Plantain?

Thank you for the interest. I am looking for any plantain preferably the type that can grow in tropical weather conditions. I have a feeling they all would since they thrive in the carribean. Would be grateful for any furhter information.

Hi, I posted in this topic http://www.bananas.org/f15/bananas-s...tml#post214602. If you relax in Southeast Asia or your friends go there for a vacation, you can ask them to bring it.

Well if anyone can guide me in the right direction I have a large area environmental project that I have been working on for over 40 years to convert a deathtrap of a swamp drained area into a tropical garden area-I have developed millions of japanese iris reeds and hundreds of thousands of elephant ears plants over the years-I had a lot of bananas but they walked off I guess-I am replacing the bananas and want to introduce cooking bananas see the site at Elephant Ears Plants
