Hello everyone!
I actually signed up on this sight years ago, but because "life" happens (and I lost all of my banana plants) I haven't been on here for several years. I am so happy to be back! I love reading all the great information you all put on here. I have not replaced my bananas yet but it is on the list for the near future |

Re: "Old" New member
Well then, welcome back on board the Banana Express!
Guess you shouldn't have disembarked at Petticoat Junction. Don't let the fact you have no bananas deter you from using the other portions of the forum. I pretty much lost interest in bananas after a year or so , but there are still other places where I can continue to learn and share (and do), so don't let that keep you away. I had a couple of years where I left while I was collecting my thoughts, but once I got that all straightened out, everyone welcomed me back. as we now do, you.

Re: "Old" New member
Thank you so much for the welcome back, I love this site!
I also still love Bananas, but have no plants, my last ones died of thirst while I was on vacation. It's a long story but...all is good, my hubby has decided a Tropical greenhouse is a good idea after all |

Re: "Old" New member
Musa basjoo would be a good start if you are in a cooler climate. Depending on where you are, I have a bunch I need to thin out. I've just been digging them out and tossing to the curb, but could easily trim the corms off and send to get you guys started up again.

Oh WOW!! I would absolutely love some corms, and I will gladly pay for shipping and packaging. I am in Northern Arizona Zone 7a. It does get kind of cold up here where we are but doesn't stay super cold. I do over winter my plants inside because I never know what our weather is going to do. Thank you so much Snarkie!! You are Awesome!! |
