Newbie from Cal's Central Valley
Hi! I'm Mike. I live in Woodland (nr Sacramento) in California. I'm completely new to trying to grow bananas. I have a musa velutina seedling potted on top of a heat pad in my greenhouse window and am thinking about purchasing a Helen's Hybrid plant. My climate is Zone 9-typically the lowest temperature of the winter is 25f give or take 2 degrees. Any basic advice would be appreciated; I'm completely unknowledgeable. My other gardening interests lie with other subtropical fruits and with flowering ornamentals.
