Hello I am a new grower as of last year and I love banana trees! I am not an experienced gardener, actually, I don't have much of a garden! But I love tropicals and banana plants/trees are beautiful!! I want to keep them thriving and need to know how. This looks like the place for help. What beautiful trees you have!!!

Welcome bananabegginer. This is actually the best time of year you could have picked to get started. I 'd suggest that you go through a lot of the old threads at your leisure and don't be afraid to post questions as you go along. By spring you'll have decided what varieties you may want to grow. If you're going after a tropical look Basjoo will get you off to a good start. They're not edible but very hardy and will give that look right off the bat.. I think Vancouver is zone 8, that if you don't know refers to your average coldest winter temperature. Something to consider when choosing the right ones for you. Good luck.
