New plants
 

I am a recently new tree owner and am doing well, but have some questions. I was told I have two dwarf bananas that seem to be growing fast but the last leaf that came out on both of them has deep red blotches on it. The other leaves have not had these. The plant looks very healthy and I have them close to windows with a southern view, but not in direct light. I do live in Oregon so the humidity is not real high, is this maybe the problem?

This is not a problem!
It has to do with the genetics of the plants.
Some people call them wine stains, some call it blotches, some say splotches, whatever it is, its not a bad thing!

The other leaves do not have the blotches, but this most recent one does.
