Hi all I have been trying to catch up on all the threads. LOL Do ya'll know that that is an impossible task. I still have to learn the site.

Here is my story,
I am over here from Daves Garden site where as you guys were posted for us Nana lovers.
I became a Nana lover in 2005. A fellow DGer sent me 3 nana's in the mail. Sorry to say I killed one of them last year trying to winter them over in the house. Not exactly sure what to do here. The nursery 2 doors down from my house went out of business. He had a musa that I had been trying to buy form him for seven year. Well they auctioned all the stuff off and I won this beautiful girl. I wintered her in the garage with no water and no light but she kept on growning little devil. So I put here back in the garage again this year. Hope she makes it again. I purchased a Basjoo this year and my lands did it produce the pups this year. I also purchased a Zebrina this year who produced me 1 pup. Now here's the deal. I didnt plant my Nanas in the ground yet cause we are building a pond and I want the Nana's in the landscaping. So please help me as to the best way to keep them in my house. Well anyway I brought in the Dwarfs, Basjoo babies, Zebrina baby in the house in a spare room that I have and put up grow lights. Not sure but if and how much i should feed or water these guys or let them go dormant. What do ya all think. I will add pictures of before and after I brought them in. Something is wrong I know and I dont want to lose them.

Beck

HI welcome here!!
I think i know you're problem?
how do you overwinter them? in a room at roomtemperature?
it's better to put them on a cool place (1-12 c) so they don't grow in winter, and don't let them to wet in pots, maybe that that will help

Welcome to the site. Just keep reading and asking questions. Iam pretty sure the basjoo needs cooler temps. The air in the house is hot and dry. I have mine in the basement. It stays around 50-60degrees down there, depends on if iam washing and drying clothes, the plants humidifier on, lights on, etc. I made a lil GH down there by stapling plastic to the rafters. So far its great! I hope Santa brings me a digital camera for xmas so i can send pics alot more. Now i have to borrow somebodys to send pics. Good luck and happy reading.
