Hello my name is Luke, and i wanted to say hello to everyone.I put in a pool last year and a friend gave me 3 banana trees to put out, dont know what type they are. Well i put them out in the spring and now one tree has 4 pup under it,the biggest being around a foot tall. Another tree has 3 pups under it tallest being 6 inches. The last tree doesn't have any pups under it.I believe where i put it has something to do with that.I'm just readying ,trying to learn about these trees as much as possible. I want the pool area to look as tropical as i can get it. I want to plants some bamboo behind my retaining wall also. Well thats about it for now. C Ya Luke

Welcome, here is a pic of my pool with banana trees. I plant them in groups
I like the look better then just one by its self. Also watch planting bamboo
it will take over your yard if you don't put a barrier under ground, hope this helps.

Welcome aboard, Luke ! Great place, you'll likely learn more than you imagine about bananas, etc. Don't know if your planning on a runner-type but, as a veteran bamboo grower, I'll say this much: If ya do, best go with a 30" wide trench and a high-density polyurethane wall. Bamboos are Real persistant.
Enjoy your time here, you're sure to learn a lot!
