I am in the centre of the Netherlands, that is to say our country is so small
I can leave it in all directions within 2 hours of driving. I have 2 apple-trees
but they have to make place next year for bananas or palms, not sure yet..

hi friend
You are correct, I grow only exotics: 50 trees of Barnea olive which is upright, cluster bearing spaced every 2 meters

I grow lots of pomegranates of all colours especially black and others

i do not grow grapes because these are cheap and not exotic

Welcome, friend Ariel of the Holy Land!

Why do you not confess to trying to grow the most exotic chestnut? LOL

I am growing to TC Dwarf Red for Ariel and wondering if there is a way I can ship these to him with tight security and all. Ariel dreams of meristems, etc. LOL Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If it is not apparent to others by now, I invited Ariel to join this nice forum and he is now becoming addicted like me. I have purchased 7 cultivars in the past 10 days alone and am sure Ariel will never catch up to me due to limited availability in the land of milk and honey. God has blessed us in the U.S. with an abundant selection and I am very thankful!

Shalom,

Your Catholic Christian brother

Hi USian catholic banana lover from the Israeli jewish one

Yes I think thre is a great diversity with bananas

Dr coronell in Los Banos - the Phillippines, has a great collection and I think we should all grow and visit him and his collection

I agree that there are exotic chestnuts also

Anyhow, if there are small merstems on the corms that can pass through it will be nice. I will check here also with the quarantine people

Greetings

All I know about the reds is that they are cold sensitive - so I'm told.

Ariel is fine, his interests change from time to time and we still chat online some. I grew cape goosberry finally this year from seed he sent me 5 years ago which he was pleased to see. It was a hot summer in Israel and this past weekend he was reporting that the arils (kernels) of most pomegranates are discolored white due to the high temps.
