Hello, I just got a(well 2) banana plants yesterday. Went to look it up and found this site. This site is really cool, but I think I may be in trouble. I already want MORE banana plants(and my boyfriend is allergic to banana's. They will kill him, so these are more for folage plants than for getting fruit. Although I wouldn't mind friut, the animals would love it. Anyway, just wanted to say 'hi'.

I am most interested in edible bananas, but there are many which are ornamentals. You will find a wealth of knowledge here. Have fun

Thanks alexizhere19 Richard and browndrake. This looks like a great site. As far as getting hooked on banana plants, well, I have that problem with things, plants and animals anyways, never can have enough. I have 3 dogs, 6 cats(to be fair, most of them found me), 6 guinea pigs, 5 rats, 50 gallon fish tank, bearded dragon, mexican black kingsnake, breeding bugs for the bearded dragon, one small terrarium, 30 gallon terrarium in the works. As for plants inside and outside plants has to be in the hunderds(yikes!!) I'm probley up to about 15-20 house plants that are outside right now. And the thing is that I can't resist a nice plant if I see one I really like.

Welcome Anna, I was just down your way(driving that wonderful stretch of rt.1) yesterday. It is finally hot and humid enough for the tropics. Be careful or you'll have a whole yard full of bananas soon , it's just how it goes for a lot of us.
