Default New guy in Coastal NC

I am completely new to growing just about anything and decided that since I am in a sort-of tropical area compared to where I grew up (Chicago) I would try a few new things. I just planted a couple of semi-dwarf Cavendish banana plants.

I hope that I get some fruit next year or so, but I am just happy to learn some new stuff.
