Hello Everyone,
I am new here. I live in the mountains of Colorado. Zone 4 elevation 8100 feet. I planted a banana plant a couple of years ago in my shop. I am a big fan of solar energy and the south wall of my shop is poly panels. 5 layer. I planted a banana plant as an experiment to see if I could grow bananas here with no heat input. The bananas grew well but I was watering by hand. They got too dry so I cut them down and put an auto water on them. Yesterday there were BANANAS on my plant. Again no extra heat. I am beyond excited!!!! I want to try other varieties. I will look up the variety I planted. How do you post pictures?[IMG] It is a Musa Mansana from Greenearth Co.
