Welcome to the Jungle...

Have fun here.

Banana plants will tend to slow down growth in the winter and cooler months,
even more so if brought indoors.
Once that Texas heat kicks or you move your plant outdoors things will turn around and your plant should respond.

This could be your plants issue.

There are many forum members in your state and surrounding area and your grow zone which will offer encouragement and advice.

Good Luck.

Welcome to the Banana Bunch. ... Please post a picture of the plant & pot.

If the plant has been doing good for a year, then likely your not doing any thing wrong. Even in the cool temps of a house during the winter a banana plant will go dormant. Banana plants grow best when temps are in the 80s. ... The humidity inside a house is usually very low so mist the plant with water a couple of times a day and also mist with miracle grow about every 3 to 5 days. Keep the pot soil on the dry side (moist but not wet). Elevate the pot if needed to keep the drain holes out of the excess water in the pot saucer. ... If you are not already doing these things. ...

I agree with Ed! Keep it on the dry side until you see new growth.

When you do take it back outside make sure it’s in shade and you slowly introduce full sun!

Good luck!
