![]() Itīs been six days since I planted the seed and now it looks like this. Iīve had a "mini greenhouse" by a plastic can on top of it the whole time. How does it look? This is my first plant, thatīs why I'm a little curious.

![]() Hi Cricca, it does not look like an E glaucum seedling to me. More like some weed which was in the soil. The E glaucum shoot is quite thick and light green in color.
I try to upload a pix but there's some problem. You can check my photo gallery under Germination for the E glaucum seedling. |

![]() Welcome!
What you have there is definitely not the germinating seed, especially not after just 6 days.

![]() Here is a Ensete Ventricosum sprout. They should look similar.
Be careful with the dome. You see I was using one and it got a case of the white fuzzies and almost croaked. I don't know if it was from the dome or something in the soil. I've grown many things in the same mix and they are doing fine but none had domes either. Michael |

![]() Pic is a little blurry, but it's definitely not a banana shoot. I'm sure it will be pretty obvious when it sprouts. I'm sure your anxious (as you should be!). Well, just keep waiting and I'm sure you'll soon see something that looks much more banana-y. LOL.
