Thankyou for the welcome everyone

Hoping to identify one of tge banana types we have. They were my fathers (God rest his soul), from way back.
Any tags/labels etc. are long gone, so descriptikns & pics is all i can provide

I am pretty sure they are a dwarf type, as the trees average about 7-9feet tall
When mature. They havd full sized fruit though in fairly good sized bunches
That retain thd male flower, hanginh about a foot below the fully formed bunch.

A friend who workx in the DPI here (Dept. Primary Industries), had a look & said
They lokk like a type of island variety, like Filipino, but couldn't give me name.

I'll stop here & try & add some pics & we'll see how we go.

Welcome to the Jungle.
Have fun here.

Since your plants are an older variety they might be easy to ID.

Good luck
