I've Fallen in love.............
I saw a beautiful garden late this summer, and there were huge banana plants in it. I was amazed. I literally fell in LOVE!! I went directly to a nursery here in Z6 OH, and bought 3. That wasnt enough...........Next week I purchased 2more. I have been babying them from day1 and reading everything on the gardening sites. On Gardenweb one of the members was giving away dwarf cavendish{JurassicDaryl}. I went up there and could hardly believe my eyes! They were HUGE!! He gave me 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....Now i gotta take care of these dug up new BIG babies and get them through the winter. With all the wealth on info from all you gardeners; Iam not afraid! They are gonna make it, and one day I'll show them off! Have a Great Day!

Re: I've Fallen in love.............
Thanks Mike. I KNOW I caught the nana' bug. Iam just waiting till the end of the week or before it rains to put most of my babies in the basement. I want them to feel the cool air, so they'll stop growing. My dwarf cavendish are dug up and waiting to go inside.I potted them up for the basement. iam debating on letting 1 dc stay in a black plastic bag all winter in the basement to see what happens. i dont know. Gotta read more on them. My unfinished basement is cooling off nice. My house is approx 117yrs old, and the basement is great for plants. Over the years ive had several different plants overwintering down there and they hardly dropped any leaves. So I reckon the nannas will love it too.........I love them!
