Hi there,
I have lived in Florida for many years and have always been interested in plants. I met others that shared the same intrests and several people from our workplace often exchanged plants. One friend gave me a cpuple of banana plants. She didn't know the what kind they were. I took them home and planted them in a low damp spot. Well they not only survived but they prospered and spread. They produce hands of delicious very small bananas. I still have no idea what variety they are. I wonder how I could find out? I really don't know much about bananas. I wouldn't mind having another variety. Where does one buy banana plants? I posted a pic at the members gallery. Charmay (zone 9) |

Welcome charmay, I've had good luck buying from going-bananas in homestead Florida. My friends from there tell me that they are at many of the plant shows around the state as well. The owners are very personable and will help you with answering questions etc.
