Default Introduction

Greetings, all --
I have been following this forum for a couple of years and I'm a new member from Kailua-Kona Hawaii, at 1500 ft elevation (40 inches annual rainfall) above Kona airport. I moved here last year from Napa Valley, California specifically to garden in this climate! This year I completed Master Gardener course work in Hawaii and I have several varieties growing in my yard. Back in California I grew mainly Ensete ventricosum and Musa basjoo, but it's great to be trying out some really edible varieties! I am also a member of the Amy Greenwell Ethnobotanic garden and I hope to cultivate some "heirloom" Hawaiian varieties soon. As I seek out rare cultivars, I'll be happy to share the plant material with others in this group, provided that all legal considerations for shipment are approved. In the meantime, I'm here to LEARN! Cheers, --Bob

Hello! Welcome to this happy forum. It's nice to have some edible plants in your yard, of which their products are your pride. I always give my home products to friends and tell them they are organics and every one love to have them.
