Intro
I found this site while researching cold hardy banana trees. I'm planting a "tropical" garden by our pool in Salem, VA and am trying to use as many cold hardy plants as I can find. We live in Zone 7. Last year, we dug up all our bananas and some other tropicals, but now I am looking for plants that can live here.
The pictures on this site are wonderful. From reading some of the threads, it is obvious I'm not the only person pushing the limits. I look forward to learning from you.  |

There's alot of info here! Or ask a question  ; someone will respond!We have really cool moderators too that know their stuff !  Iam pushing the limits on alot of plants also, for my zone(6) area!! Some of your plants you may have to overwinter inside ,or some type of cold barrier outside to help them survive.
