I am not a new member but...

I might as well be.
I have not been here for many years. I had to leave my plant hobby for a period of time to become a personal caretaker for a family member, it was a 24/7 job. I had to drop off of all the forums I participated in, and drop membership in all the plant-related organizations I was a member of. But I have slowly been able to return to growing again. I still have a few banana varieties, nowhere near what I used to have, but I hope to collect some more in the future. Will be looking to see what is going on nowadays on a more regular basis!

Welcome back!

Yes, a lot has gone by ... including (to no surprise) Gabe is all grown up and a fine professor of bananas in Hawaii.

LOL my marathon days may be over. I tore an Achilles Tendon at mile 25 of a marathon in 2012, my first DNF ever. Took 2 years to recover. Ran 2 more races and one half, had a relapse. Now have a partially torn tendon in my hip. I'm running a half marathon in February but my 26.2 days may be at an end

I may in the future! Waiting till Spring to make some changes in my greenhouse to make room! Right now, all I have in there is a containerized Praying Hands. Outdoors I have Basjoo, an ornamental called 'Hot Pink', and Musa Laterita. When I think of all the varieties I used to have, I get sort of sick that I now have so few.
