Howdy folks!!
I am an avocado rancher in fullerton OC cal.
One of relatives was the wife of Jim Bacon, A hybridizer of avocados, cattelliya orchids We have many of his less known avocado cultivars and one that may be the last tree of its kind. We also have a macadamia tree that a fellow from Florida grafted a whole orchard to because the tree bears big crops of large nuts reliably every year. I want to start a collection of tropical fruits here and am currently looking for a Pernambuco pineapple plant. Look forward to hearing from you folks!! |

Re: Howdy folks!!
Welcome to bananas.org. I am a little further south of you in sunny San Diego.
Don't grow Pernambuco Pineapple besides my banana plants, but love the Sugarloaf variety. It is super sweet with an edible core and grows well here in southern California. This year we have 10 plants with beautiful fruits growing. |
