Back in 1988 there was a project of universal Slavic language, that would have one acustic representation and 2 written, one in Roman aplhpabet and one in Cyrillic. Same words, same sounds, but 2 ways of writting.
After 1989 no-one suddenly needed to understand our brethren in other countries so it was cancelled. There were linguists from each Slavic country that were supposed to contribute.
Imagine how easier our communication would be with that.

Wow! Didnt know that, that was an awesome idea... Too bad it didnt come to realisation.
Btw, in Serbian language we officially use both latin and cyrillic..

Yep, I know. I have about 15 Serbian classmates in university, almost all of them from Vojvodina. Many of them on other universities as well. Nice to see that the roots are still there.

Does someone can tell me how to put smileys at the end of the sentence ?
