HI Ya'll from Western KY/USA
Hello!!!I wanted to take a moment and introdue myself... I am a retired Operating Engineer and have always loved gardening and woodwork...but then I was introduced to tropicals while in Hawaii when I got married... I fell in love with the idea of making our back yard around the inground pool area into a tropical jungle. I am slowly getting the feel and look... This next summer I want to build a tiki bar and extend the gardens out... I have a few bananas and palm trees that I started collecting. Some I grew from seed and some from pups... I love all aspects of this... Now living in zone 6 we are in the fall of the year and all my plants are in the greenhouse and new unfinished sunroom. I love the challenge of growing out of my zone and surely love the look.. I look forward to getting to know ya'll... I am envious of the fact that I will never get my nanners to grow as big as some of the ones I have seen here but I have high hopes of getting a bunch on banannas off one of these babies one day... I know it can be done for one of my nanner nut friends had two big bunches hangin of hers this year...

Hi and welcome Peggy, I like the TIKI bar idea, I have seen one made of
bamboo somewhere for sale. Rather expensive. Ron |
