Hi there, my name is Donna

I am from Leicestershire in the United Kingdom! This is a first for me today, i have never joined an organisation before!!!!! So, I may be a little slow in getting used to things!!!!

I was wondering if there are any more users from the UK usinf this site?

I have been passionate about bananas for a couple of years, due to the UK climate I have only managed to grow the Musa Basjoo and the Musa Sikkimensis. At the moment I am trying to grow Musa seeds on a heated propagating mat on my kitchen windowsill! Nothing showing yet!!!

I am hoping to create a tropical haven of 'Hardy' bananas at the bottom of my long garden, hence the reason I am trying to grow from seed! (Trying to keep the costs to a minimum!)

If anyone has any useful hints or tips in being successful in this area I would be most grateful!
