Wow, that is even cooler than I thought, about like San Francisco, I guess. If they get to 27F they call it a heat wave.

Must make for some slow growing for your bananas. Best wishes for a warm year!

Just thought I'd add a "notation" to the relative temperature conversation. I'm getting the feeling there might be some confusion relative to Celsius v.s. Fahrenheit. In a humid climate, 25 Celsius is a very nice day, in which banana plants will be quite happy. 25 Fahrenheit is pretty darn chilly....banana will be dormant and a little grumpy! You folks from the warmer U.S. areas have it pretty easy compared to some of the other folks world-wide who also enjoy the banana/exotic tropicals hobby. One of those things like classy motorcyclists realize....it's not what you ride, it's that you ride. Grow on my friends, grow on!

Wow, 25C for a summer temperature is pretty cool! We get to 30.5C during the average day in July and the warmest temperature last summer here in NYC was 41C (106F!)/ Bananas seem to grow best with days around 30C, however I have seen gardens in London with absolutely beautiful banana plants. Some of the warmer microclimates in London get ensetes to survive in the ground year round which is pretty impressive!
Welcome to the fourm! Cant wait to see what your growing!
