![]() Hi
My name is Rob and Im from the United States. I live in Tennessee on the north plateau in the upper cumberlands. I know a couple of (very nice and awesome) banana growers who brag about this forum and they are from Tennessee too! Thanks in advance for all the neat things I will learn here. Im currently a hardy palm nut and have huge palm trees growing at my house but my first and true love is and always was the BANANA tree. Im hoping to return back to my BANANA roots and expand my collection. I currently have : El Saba de Ecuador Musa Basjoo Orinoco Red Isolene The only thing I have a lot of is Orinoco. Cheers, Rob |

![]() Hi, Rob! Nice to see you made it over here. I think you'll like the format of this board, and discussions tend to be very friendly on here...most of the time.
You should try Musa sikkimensis and all of its hybrids, as well as Musella lasiocarpa, Musa sp. 'Yunnan', M. itinerans, M. velutina, M. balbisiana, and M. mannii. Most of them should do fine up there! Take care buddy. If you get over to Knoxville, be sure to call or email me! Frank |
