Hi everyone.
Hi,
My name is Mike and I live in the San Diego area. I am new to this site but have been enjoying some success with subtropical and tropical fruits for about 30 years including a few bananas. I started my current orchard about 2 years ago on a property that will likely be permanent as in through retirement. All my bananas were planted within the past 10 months including. Namwa, Tall Namwa, Pisang Raja, Praying hands, Tall red, Dwarf Brazilian, Sweetheart, Black iholena, Brazilian, Hawaiian apple, Gldfinger and Saba. I plan a few more. Definitely Raja Puri and a couple of Hawaiian types after I learn what is likely to work in my area. Other things I grow include annonas, avocados, figs, stone fruit, citrus, mulberries, sapodillas, and what ever else looks fun. I look forward to learning about bananas on this forum. Mike:03: |

Re: Hi everyone.
Thanks to all for the warm welcome. My "collection" are all young. The only variety that looks like it may flower this year is Dwarf Namwa. Same is generally true throughout my new orchard although I will have many figs, avocados cherimoyas and atemoyas this fall through winter.
