Hi all from Athens-Greece

I am John, I am living at Athens Greece.
I am an amateur plant grower, I grow plumerias-olive trees-fruit trees and some others all in pots.

I have only two banana trees in pots, but I am interesting to grow from seeds mussa varieties.

Any help from where I can buy some fresh seeds to start with, will apreciated.

Hi John and welcome to the board! If you are interested in seeds look at the Species Banana Forum, there is a thread regarding this. I enjoy very much growing my 'naners from seeds. It gives me great satisfaction when they mature and fruit. Hope to hear more from you soon!

Welcome John, I joined here a few months ago with only a few plants myself. Now I'm tending over 20. This happens to a lot of the members here I'm told, Good luck!

Welcome aboard! Bob's right - you'll end up with a huge collection. I've got about 300 plants of 10 or so varieties at the moment, and I'm always looking to expand.

I think for import live plants-corms etc phytosanitary certificate needed if are imported from countries out of European Common Market, for seeds not needed.

Oh, but there are members here from the EU living nearby that are growing fruiting bananas. Check the map ...
