Hi All!
I'm so excited to be a part of this forum. There is so much to know and as you all know, bananas and plants in general don't tell. I just watched the germination video and started soaking M. lasiocarpa and M. velutina. Do they both get soaked for 2 weeks? Do they require scarification at all?

Re: Hi All!
Hello Scotti. and Welcome
Your seeds only need soak for 24 or 48 Hours, if just harvested. Fluctuation of temps is helpful, but not higher than 90F. Last edited by D_&_T : 02-28-2008 at 05:31 PM. Reason: added to |

Re: Hi All!
a heat mat and a timer is a great help to germinate the banana seeds.
Welcome to the forum. There are lots of good threads and postings on how to germinate banana seeds, too.
