Default Hi

Hello to everyone and thanks for accepting me onto the forum.

I kept banana plants and germinated seeds over 40 years ago in the uk. I honestly think the plants and seeds were just labelled as “ Banana “ then lol.

A few years ago I moved to Portugal to live and would love to start growing bananas again, some preferably from seeds. I love growing plants from seeds.

I am not a novice in keeping plants and grow various cycads, aroids, plumeria, Carnívoras plants to name a few at the minute.

Come here to learn and ask questions and hopefully post about my future achievements or even fails.

Kind regards

Neil

I was wondering about that company but heard good and bad reports about them.

Wow for the plumerias. Mine are only young at the minute. Have you had them long ?.

Ok. That's funny that both my mother and father are from Castelo Branco province...
Castelo Branco is cold in winter and very hot in summer... you have to protect very well the banana plants or other sub-tropicals...
Just wish you a very happy journey in Portugal!

Thank you very much for the welcome. I love Portugal and the people very much.

I have built a large propagating unit for seeds and seedlings for over the winter and hopefully will be setting up a large grow tent for older plants next year. I have the tent but will need equipment.

Kindest regards

Neil
