Hello, this is my first post and I need some help, I live in Illinois and I was given a banana tree that is about 21/2 feet tall, I bought some cactus soil to plant it in but also added some of my own soil which is pretty sandy, we had a all day heavy rain a few days later and I noticed my pot was standing in water, I took my plant out of the soil for now but don't know what to do, should o dry out the mix, can I add some regular potting mix to the cactus mix, help

Hello, Welcome & Good Luck.. Are there holes in the bottom of the pot? :^)

No holes but I did but about 3 in of large rock in bottom

Well you need some holes in the pot so it can drain.. :^)
