Default Hello World :)

Just thought I would drop in and make a first post. I've just turned a quarter of a century old and finally have my own place with a decent backyard and such. I guess you could say I have been bitten by the plant bug now.

I just recently bought two young nanners, a musa "double mahoi" and a "basjoo". Since I got them just a month or so ago, they have been putting out a new leaf or two on a weekly basis, unlike most of my palms that grow very slow. I went ahead and brought them in from the upcoming winter, which isn't too bad here (zone 8b), but I can tell that the growth has slowed down since we had our first night in the 50's a week ago.

Anyway, check out my gallery, I added a few of my new additions. Happy nannering yall....

Yay another North Carolinian. I am just a few years shy of you at 22, but I bit the plant bug about 8 to 10 years ago. I plant at my parent's house right now. Glad you have joined the board.
