Hey I planted my first banana tree last year. I didn't think it was going to make it through the winter but it is doing ok and growing its first sucker right now! Last week I came across 5 more banana trees so I planted them around the yard. I thought if I was going to start growing banana trees I might as well come to a banana forum and find out exactly what I am doing, so here I am.

Thanks for the greets folks!
Well, I can post some pictures, sure. However, when you ask me a question about what type of banana trees I have, my answer is: "I think they are the yellow ones". Live and learn for me I guess! Cheers~ |

Nice to meet ya Ratfood! I was in San Antonio in the 1960's when I was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston. I loved it there. Snowed in the morning during winter and then went to the 60's.
