I got new top leaves already. hasnt been a week yet. got funny blue-green bunch in the jungle two weeks ago. cant wait to taste em when they yeller DOC K |

Welcome to the fourm! Living in the tropics is amazing for growing bananas, unfrotunately soil is a big limitation on many tropical islands, but the bananas usually manage to thrive anyways.

Welcome and good growing!! We would love to see pictures, not just of the fruit but the mulch you add and results!! The conditions you describe are those experienced in the Bahamas and parts of South Florida.
May your efforts be prosperous!! ![]() |

Welcome,
I'm glad you took over for Bo. It's about time he came home and took care of his bananas here. I told him he'd have to find someone to take over his bananas there. Glad he did. You should have no problem finding compostable material there. You'll just have to get creative. Should be plenty of coffee and tea grounds. Of course there will be banana peels and old leaves. Many kitchen scraps will work. I would say that finding the time to collect it all would be the issue. Good luck with the job and the bananas!
