Default Hello and help please

Hello. Today I received my purchase of 16-8-24 fruit fuel. However the typeset is so tiny on the package I cannot figure out how to use it. I have two banana plants, planted 3 months ago. One has a pup coming out of the side. I have no idea how to use this fertilizer though I hear it is great. Anything anyone can share to get me started I would greatly appreciate. This will be the first time I have fertilized these plants. I live in Florida. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

that would depend on how much money you have!!!! lol

for starters knowing what zone you are in would help with many of your questions.

but to answer your question; alot of that would depend on what type of soils are on you property. like if you are high sand, to well drained fertilize away. if you have black dirt and fair to poor drainage start off light and work your way to heavy.

now fertilize all the way up to what you think will be the first frost, what this will do is to make your plant very happy so it can survive the winter. then fertilize just before what you might think your last frost. this will give your plant a head start for spring. your plant should not care if you are a bit wrong on times.

Well I'm kind of broke. LOL. I am in Northwest Florida zone 8b. I am pretty much all sand but enriched my soil with 40 yd of garden soil mixed with mushroom compost and topped with pine bark. Thank you for any info you may provide.

Sorry one more thing. As I cannot read the package with the print being so small, I don't even know how much to use or how to mix it.

i am only a few miles from you. middleburg.

sand, after a heavy rain and the water soaks in fairly fast you are high acidity. you cannot put to much fertilizer down. the more you put down the better off you are. watch your plants if you put down to much the leaves will start to burn.

go to 10-10-10, lowes sells it, its for trees. cheaper

i am very sandy, yellow sand too well drained. bad place to grow a banana. lol.

what type of banana are trying to grow.

also do you have a septic mound? how high?

Dwarf the banana, I think ice cream banana? They are currently very healthy and about 5 1/2 ft tall. I'm still trying to find an article or information to tell me how to mix this stuff that I just bought. Any and all help would be so appreciated. Thanks again

Sometimes i can't read the fine print too.

I use a magnifying glass to read some fine print or the magnifying app I have on my phone.
You can find magnifying glasses at any store near you.

The smartphone app is easy to use and it works well.
You can visit the fruit fuel webpage and read the directions there and make it easier to read.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate your input. After hours of searching I was finally able to find mixing instructions on the internet.
