Default Hello from Germany/Portugal

Hello,

i´m new to this site and i try to plant some subtropical/tropical plants in Portugal. I got Musa Helen´s Hybrid, some musa basjoos and a Musa Velutina.
In the summer time i want to plant sikkimensis red tiger and want to try to grow edible bananas.

you know, there will always be a gap between the plants you have and the plants you want to have. I want to have more mangos but in my place in Portugal we have usda zone 9 (more "a" than "b") and i still wonder how the mango survived the winter - had the tluck of a perfect microclimate.

regards,
marup
