Welcome Chantell!!!:
Just a feeback for you to bring it up at Stokes Tropicals. I discussed this on another topic earlier on this month. Stokes Tropicals was the website I learned about the strange varieties of bananas about 6-7 years ago. All of a sudden the website, in terms of bananas came up to just a couple common banana varieties and that was it, and that was years before the hurricanes that hit that area not long ago. I just visited the website and apparently they seem to be picking-up again. Tell them to bring the "nanners" up!!!, also try new rare varieties on the bay, like sprouting seeded species. I find a lot of seeds from the more rarer varieties on the bay, but almost no place have the live plants for sale. I can assure you they will get good business out of sprouting those seeds from rarer varieties and have the live plants for sale. Just my 2 cents and welcome again!!! Carlos(tropicalkid) |

Chantell,
do you tissue culture any of your banana plants or do you exclusively rely on agristarts? Red Thai, AEAE, and ensete superbum are of interest. I'd also like to see musa ingens.

Also a couple more: 1. Ensete glaucum. I haven't seen one for sale in a while. 2. Musa maclayi 3. Musa monticola 4. Musa jackeyi(extremely hard to get), native of Australia. I think that's all for now. Thanks again, Carlos |
