Hello from central Ohio
Hey guys and girls, this is my first year growing bananas. I first bought two dwarf banana and then a basjoo. The basjoo has not been growing a far as my dwarf have. I think IM going to keep them in containers and out on the porch to get sun.
IM doing a lot of research to get my bananas the best light possible to keep them growing and putting out new leaves every week. I just got my first Goldfinger it's a tissue culture banana and I'm trying to figure out the best care for it. I look forward to seeing it by Else in Ohio and see how they're doing stuff and maybe one year I will plant outside to see if they'll grow faster and Fuller. I have my dwarfs in a south facing window with a t5 6400k on then also and they are growing like crazy. I have the light about 4-5inch above them and I'm having to raise the light up every other day so that leaves don't get burned. Once the leaf is coming out and lays down I can lower the light right back down and do it all over again. Well thanks for reading this and I will keep doing a lot of research. GO BANANAS!!!!!
