Default Good varieties for Santa Barbara foothills

Hi I just joined today and am also new to Santa Barbara. I have a grassy area I would like to turn into a mini orchard and grow bananas and peaches and plums. Can anyone recommend a good variety for the foothills just above Santa Barbara and Summerland? Is there a local nursery that someone can recommend? Thank you all. I look forward to my first, homegrown banana smoothie..
