Joy Florida bananas living in Hawaii

I live in Hawaii. My first banana plant actually came from a nursery in Florida. My daughter sent it to me 2 years ago for mother's day and she couldn't find a nursery to deliver locally, so it came from florida. All I know is that it is an apple banana. My first stalk of bananas has just appeared. Someone told me that it was a variety that didn't really get yellow when ripe. There is some reddish colors on the main stalk. I'm so excited, this is my first banana. I have tons of orchids, but I think this banana thing has got me going in a different direction.

There are several of us on here also in Hawaii. Where are you located? If you can figure out the photo uploading, please post pictures. And "Apple" banana in Hawaii can be a few different things, especially if it comes from Florida. It may actually be a Manzano, rather than the Brazilian that is known locally as Apple Banana.
